Specialised Programs and Therapies
At Sarah Ives Family Psychology, we offer a range of specialised programs and therapies designed to address unique needs and promote holistic well-being. Our evidence-based approaches are tailored to provide comprehensive support and facilitate meaningful change.
Trauma
Process and heal from traumatic experiences with specialised therapeutic techniques and support.
Traumatic experiences can have a profound impact on mental health. Our trauma-focused therapy is designed to help individuals process and heal from trauma. We use specialised techniques, such as trauma-informed cognitive-behavioral therapy (T-CBT) to support you in your healing journey. Our approach aims to empower you to regain control, reduce trauma-related symptoms and move forward with a greater sense of safety and wellbeing.
Animal Assisted Therapy
Experience the healing power of animal companionship in therapy sessions.
Animal Assisted Therapy incorporates the presence of a therapy dog to enhance the therapeutic process. Our therapy dog, DeeDee, a gentle black Labrador, helps create a calming and supportive environment. The presence of DeeDee can reduce anxiety, improve mood and provide comfort during sessions. This unique approach leverages the natural bond between humans and animals to facilitate emotional healing and well-being.
Circle of Security Parenting (Attachment) Program Facilitator
Strengthen parent-child relationships and promote secure attachment bonds.
The Circle of Security Parenting program is designed to enhance the bond between parents and their children. As a certified facilitator, Sarah Ives provides guidance on understanding and responding to your child’s emotional needs. This program helps parents foster secure attachment bonds, leading to healthier and more resilient family relationships. By participating in this program, you will gain valuable insights and practical tools to support your child’s emotional development.
